The Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NY Presbyterian/ Columbia University Irving Medical Center Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) programis an Office of Mental Health (OMH) funded program that renders short term intensive in home services to youth ages 5-20 predominantly in the areas of Washington Heights, Inwood, and West Harlem, with the goal of preventing psychiatric emergency room visits and psychiatric inpatient admissions.
Social Worker - Child/Adolescent Behavioral Health Home-Based Crisis Intervention Program Interventionist - Columbia - Grant Funded
The HBCI Interventionist will deliver adapted evidence-based treatments in the community. Visits with youth and families take place in homes, schools, the community at large. The position expectations entail multiple visits per week per patient and care coordination with all relevant service providers.
Supervision and routine clinical check-ins are an integral component of HBCI work.
This is grant funded position is field-based and will require onsite presence
The working hours will be from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
Preferred Criteria:
- Bi-Lingual Spanish
- Experience with child behavioral health
- Experience with crisis management and trauma
Required Criteria:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- New York State License as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW)
- Self-motivated, team oriented
- Able to travel to client's homes and alternative community setting
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
