Social Work Resource Liaison – Days

Deliver quality patient care by assisting patients in accessing treatment through outpatient referrals, coordinating transfers to outside hospitals, and collaboration with various team members within the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program. Support the team through patient discharge planning by locating resource information, and rapidly responding to inquiries about a broad range of community services, eligibility requirements and application procedures.

This position works Monday through Friday day shift, 10:00am- 6:00pm at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Preferred Criteria

• Bachelor Degree

• Experience working in a hospital setting

Required Criteria

• Basic Life Support Certification

• Experience with or willingness to learn word processing, spreadsheets and other PC software

• Basic knowledge of human development and knowledge of basic Social Work skills

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
