Provides hands on guidance and direction to the logistic specialist on the specification, acquisition, installation, purchasing and training of all new medical equipment associated with construction projects, equipment replacement and new medical technology acquisition. The position is responsible for ensuring that all new equipment is purchased, verified, delivered, and installed timely and correctly. In addition, they are responsible for

the accurate entry and verification of all new equipment in the biomed asset data base.

Essential  Job Duties

  • Assists planning manager in compiling planning group's project recovery hours and send it to finance manager for submission.
  • Identifies and assist planning manager to compute all logistic work hours to accurately estimate project fees.
  • Liaison with clinical engineers and attend all project meetings as necessary for all phases of planning projects. Cover logistics specialists as needed.
  • Ensures and coordinates the timely delivery and installation of all related equipment within determined timelines. Maintains accurate electronic records of equipment purchased with details about delivery, installation, and service
  • in planning and biomed database.
  • Verifies and validates all new equipment inventories for completeness and accuracy. Choose appropriate escalation path when interventions are required.
  • Coordinates all equipment related issues with assigned clinical engineers, OFD project manager, procurement, architects, contracts and vendors.
  • Obtains competitive pricing, complete equipment purchase requisitions, manage equipment delivery, warehousing, installation and training. Manage vendor invoice approval process.
  • Coordinates with clinical engineer managers for incoming inspections. Ensure quality assurance of all data compiled and entered into database.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Required Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience
