Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist – Cytogenetics - Days

We are expanding our microarray assays and looking for someone to join our Cytogenetics team as a Laboratory Technologist. Our full-service genetics laboratory offers you the ability to specialize in the latest techniques such as FISH and microarray testing, while using state-of-the-art equipment -- including automated metaphase finding and karyotyping systems. In this versatile facility, you'll perform tasks in everything from post-natal genetics for genetic counseling to cancer genetics for our continuously expanding Cancer program.  Collaborating with the finest healthcare professionals in the city, you'll be challenged to continue your education and stay at the forefront of the genetics field. This is a full-time day shift position, working Monday – Friday.

Preferred Criteria     

• ASCP certification
• 2+ years of experience
• Molecular testing experience
• Microarray/SNP experience

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department OR must be eligible for a NYS issued training certificate, permit or license within 6 months of hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
