Regulatory Associate (Federal-State) – Regulatory Affairs

Collaborate with service line teams, IT, quality, patient experience, government affairs, and operational leadership to develop and implement effective compliance strategies.
- Monitoring and analyzing federal regulations, preparing and submitting regulatory reports, and enhancing organizational understanding of compliance through training and communication efforts.
- Work with federal regulatory agencies and associations to gain clarification and to advocate on behalf of NYP. Proactively communicate with internal divisions to become and remain educated about key issues affecting these areas.
Anticipate policy and emerging regulatory trends and coordinate advocacy strategies with government relations team.
Lead and contribute to ad hoc projects that address organizational needs, including process improvements and strategic problem-solving initiatives.
Identify compliance risks and propose innovative solutions to mitigate them, engaging in cross-functional teams to promote compliance as a core organizational value.
We will be hiring one regulatory associate for state and one for federal.
Preferred Criteria
Master’s Degree
Experience in federal healthcare regulations, especially Medicare and Medicaid and other major federal health care policies.
Required Criteria
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare policy, health regulations, policy analysis, or a related role.
Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and distill complex regulations.
Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking ability.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
