The David H. Koch Center, opened in April 2018 at our NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell campus, sets a new bar in personalized outpatient care -- from diagnosis to treatment -- by integrating new technologies and innovative clinical approaches to provide the highest quality care and enhance the patient experience. This 750,000-square foot, multi-specialty treatment center is designed to accommodate the latest technologies and will feature many innovations in the delivery of care to meet patients’ expectations in new ways.
With the addition of the DHK Center, the Department of Radiation Oncology is expanding from 3 linear accelerators to 6 linear accelerators. Radiation Oncology therapists will be working with advanced radiation oncology equipment to ensure the delivery of high-quality radiotherapy, including 1 MR-linac and 3 Varian TrueBeams equipped with a combination of Exac-trac, OSMS and Calypso as well as 2 additional Varian linear accelerators. Planning will be carried out using both a GE and Siemens CT-Sim with ARIA serving as the Record&verify system and Eclipse used for treatment planning. The team is expected to participate and lead in quality /performance improvement initiatives and patient engagement. We are seeking therapists for this role to help with the growth and expansion of our department and the exciting new center. Be one of the therapists who make it possible.
This is a full time, day-shift position, working 5 days per week, primarily Monday - Friday.
Preferred Criteria
Prior experience with TrueBeam
Prior experience as a Radiation Therapist
American Society Radiologic Technology (ASRT) Membership
Required Criteria
Graduate of American Management Association (AMA) approved Radiation Therapy Technology program
New York State Radiologic Technologist license , limited to the practice of Radiotherapy
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
