Quality & Patient Safety Specialist – Full Time – Days – Columbia

In this vital role, you’ll drive quality and patient safety initiatives by offering expert consulting, analysis, improvement facilitation, and program management to key internal stakeholders. You’ll develop and enhance programs that uphold our high standards in Quality and Patient Safety while focusing on delivering superior care to our patients. This position involves researching, collecting, and analyzing critical data to inform strategic decisions. As a subject matter expert, you’ll support your clients' quality and patient safety initiatives, ensuring they align with the hospital’s strategic goals.

This position is based at the NYP/Columbia site, with potential travel across various NYP sites as needed. Full-time, Monday to Friday.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Clinical Licensure (RN, PA, NP, MD, Nurse Midwife, RD, PT/OT, or PharmD)
  • Perioperative experience
  • PMP or Six-Sigma/Lean certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) 
  • Strong data analytics skills

Required Criteria 

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 5+ years of experience in a healthcare, preferably in Quality and Performance Improvement

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$123,500-$161,000/Annual
