Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner -Full Time - Comprehensive Health Program - Ambulatory Care Network/Columbia Campus
Thrive at the forefront of top-notch Division of Community and Population Health Division! The Comprehensive Health Program at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center has provided team based care to patients of all ages with HIV/AIDS and other chronic infections since 1998. Today, we care for over 3,000 individuals with HIV, hepatitis C, STDs, and other infectious conditions, including Prevention Services such as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP).
The Psych NP will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing acute illness; providing psychotherapy; prescribing medication for both acute and chronic illness; interpreting labs and diagnostic studies, as well as provide clinical consultation and supervision to our behavioral health clinicians (social workers) and other clinical team members. The individual must be able to work with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills and a desire to work with populations who have a high prevalence of mental illness, trauma and substance use.

This is a full time Monday -Friday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. position
Preferred Criteria:
HIV Experience
Bilingual - English and Spanish
Required Criteria:
Master’s degree in Advanced Nursing Practice
Board Certification in PMHNP
Current NYS RN and FNP licensure
Current BLS through the AHA
Minimum of two years NP experience
Well versed in psychotherapy modalities
Strong communication, interpersonal
