Program Director, Nursing- NYP/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital- Full Time- Days
The Program Director provides support to nursing staff while ensuring evidence‑based practice, quality outcomes, excellence in nursing care and research development at the NYP/Morgan Stanley Children Hospital of New York and Sloane Hospital for Women. The Program Director provides a framework for the advancement of excellence in nursing practice in collaboration with the other members of the Nursing Leadership team. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations at the state and federal levels and New York‑Presbyterian Hospital's policies, procedures and standards.
Guides day-to-day operations and provides strategic direction of supplemental staffing program including but not limited to: evaluating national nurse staffing market data, making recommendations, and acting on information; planning for, coordinating, and implementing program improvements with cross-functional stakeholders; developing annual nursing budget, manages the monthly review of staffing budgets; monitoring compliance with regulatory staffing standards; managing payroll process and invoice approval; serving as subject matter expert on nursing finance & operational analytical support for the nursing department.
Identifies clinical priorities based on Quality and Safety goals, Press Ganey, HCAHPS, and PI findings, and multidisciplinary collaboration efforts. Collaborates with the Shared Leadership Council and Corporate Director of Nursing Professional Practice and Standards in the advancement of nursing practice. Partners with Quality and Patient Safety to drive process improvement. Acts as an agent of change within the organization and Department of Nursing.
Preferred Criteria:
- Certified Pediatric Nurse-PNCB
- American Nurses Credentialing Center approved national board Certification
- A minimum of seven years’ progressive leadership experience in healthcare administration
Required Criteria:
- Masters in Nursing or related field if already holds a BSN degree. Either bachelors or graduate degree must be in nursing.
- Current NY State RN License
- A minimum of five years’ progressive leadership experience in healthcare administration
- Current AHA BLS

Salary Range:
