Program Coordinator - Falls Prevention Specialist

The Trauma Program at NYP/Weill Cornell has received a federal grant to create an Evidence-Based Falls Prevention Program to help reduce catastrophic falls among older adults.  Under the direction of the Injury Prevention Coordinator and the Trauma Program Manager, Program Coordinators will be responsible for enrolling patients in the program, teaching virtual evidence-based falls prevention classes, documenting encounters in the medical record, and submitting participation data to the federal database.

This is a grant-supported position, currently funded for 3 years.

The Trauma program seeks two enthusiastic, self-motivated, and hard-working individuals to fill these positions. 

This is a full-time position, working Monday - Friday, on-site.

Preferred Criteria

  • Interest and/or experience working with older adults
  • Spanish bilingual strongly preferred
  • Technologically proficient

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience
  • Excellent writing and communication skills – possess verbal and written skills to convey mission and purpose to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized, ability to work with diverse community groups

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

$66,300-$89,000/Annual
