As part of our tight-knit rehab team, you’ll have the opportunity to help patients and their families gain functional independence and live fulfilling lives, while continuously moving forward in your career.  

In this role, you will perform swallow evaluations, speech language assessments and cognitive assessments. Conduct objective assessment of swallowing via Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBBS) and FEES Studies as appropriate.

This is a Per Diem position, primarily providing weekend, vacation, and holiday coverage, in order to support SLP service.

Preferred Criteria

• Trained to perform both MBSS and FEES

Required Criteria

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Certification in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech and Hearing Association within one year of hire

• Licensure as a Speech Pathologist by the State of New York within one year of hire

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
