Join our Cytogenetics team as a Laboratory Technologist. Our full-service genetics laboratory offers you the ability to specialize in the latest techniques such as FISH and microarray testing, while using state-of-the-art equipment -- including automated metaphase finding and karyotyping systems. In this versatile facility, you'll perform tasks in everything from pre- and post-natal genetics for genetic counseling to cancer genetics for our continuously expanding Cancer program. Collaborating with the finest healthcare professionals in the city, you'll be challenged to continue your education and stay at the forefront of the genetics field. This is a per-diem position seeking coverage in our Cytogenetics Wet Lab on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.  Schedule will be made based on the needs of the laboratory and the employee’s availability.

Preferred Criteria     

• ASCP certification
• Experience in wet lab techniques processing various specimen types
• Cytogenetic analysis of hematological specimens

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department
