Patient Registrar – Radiology – Per Diem – Days – Weill Cornell

As a Patient Registrar, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a seamless patient experience, from arrival through registration and scheduling. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Greeting patients with professionalism, warmth, and respect
  • Registering and pre-registering patients accurately in our system
  • Collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, and financial information
  • Scheduling appointments and coordinating with referring providers
  • Securing pre-certifications and authorizations to support timely reimbursement
  • Preparing necessary documentation and communicating financial responsibilities
  • Interface with referring offices/departments

Above all, you’ll be a calm, reassuring presence for patients navigating their care - helping them feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way.

This role is a per diem day flex shift position working as needed in the Radiology department at our Weill Cornell location. Shifts are 8 hours ranging between 6:00am-5:00pm. Includes rotating holiday coverage.

Preferred Criteria

  • Some college

  • Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.

  • Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements

  • Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4

Required Criteria

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • One year of clerical experience

  • Effective communication, along with phone and computer skills
