Patient Registrar - Days - Spine/Spiral Building

The Patient Registrars are responsible for greeting and registering the patient in a tactful and courteous manner. They obtain all pertinent patient demographics, therapy prescriptions, insurance information, authorization and regulatory signatures. These items are critical data points that enable correct billing and timely payment to the hospital and ensure clinical staff (i.e. therapists) have all pertinent patient information.  The registrars collect payments for deductibles and copayments. They will also schedule initial and follow-up therapy appointments accordingly. This position is in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Preferred Criteria

• Associates degree

• Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements

Required Criteria

• Effective communication skills

• High School diploma or GED

• One year of clerical experience

• Detail oriented
