The Eye Institute Ophthalmology Practice is an integral component of the Ambulatory Care Network. It is a multispecialty practice providing consultative services which include general ophthalmology, pediatric ophthalmology, contact lens/low vision, cornea and external disease, eye muscle, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, orbital and plastic, retina, uveitis and diagnostic services-visual field testing. Ophthalmic Assistant - Adult Eye Clinic - ACN - Columbia - Day Flex
Work with state of the art equipment and learn from the best in a fast-paced, challenging environment where you can grow and develop your skills. On a daily basis, the Ophthalmic Assistant performs a variety of clinical and clerical functions to assist practitioners and management in daily clinic operations. This is a technical, patient facing position.
This full time position could work as early as 7:30 AM to as late as 7:00 PM, working 7.5 hour days with no weekends or holidays.
Preferred Criteria
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant through the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO)
Required Criteria
- High School Diploma or GED
- Six months to one year ophthalmology experience or Medical Assistant experience
