Occupational Therapist - Acute Care - Per diem - Cornell Campus

Evaluate, plan and provide occupational therapy treatment programs for patients whose injury, disease, or loss of body part interferes with daily functioning. Provide skilled intervention using varieties of techniques that are appropriate to achieve identified goals. In this role, you will cover a variety of acute care settings including neuro, oncology, general med-surg and orthopedics.

Seeking an experienced acute care occupational therapist to support weekend and holiday coverage. Weekday availability a bonus.  Per Diem hours are from 8:30a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Preferred Criteria

  • 2 years adult acute care experience

  • ICU and early mobilization experience

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment

  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certification

Required Criteria

  • BS degree in Occupational Therapy

  • NYS Occupational Therapist License within one year of hire

  • NYS Limited Permit (application submitted upon hire)

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
