As part of our tight-knit team, you’ll have the opportunity toprovide outstanding, empathetic care to burn survivors in NewYork-Presbyterian’s William Randolph Hearst Burn Center.

At NewYork-Presbyterian’s William Randolph Hearst Burn Center, you will find a patient focused, engaging and supportive environment.   The burn therapist, as part of a patient-centered multidisciplinary team, strives to maximize developmental and functional outcomes, as well as a person’s social and psychological health. This role requires specialized training in burns as these injuries are complex and require early skilled intervention.    You will evaluate, plan and provide occupational therapy treatment programs foradult and pediatricpatients.  This includes providingskilled intervention using varieties of techniquesthat address pain, wound care, contracture prevention, and scar prevention and management.

The hours for this full-time position are Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pmwith intermittent weekend and holiday coverage.

Preferred Criteria

  • Minimum of 3 yearsburnacute care experience, including ICU highly preferred
  • Proficient in splinting and casting and scar assessment and management
  • Early mobilization experience
  • Comfortable in a fast paced environment
  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certification

Required Criteria

  • BS degree in Occupational Therapy
  • NYS Occupational Therapist License within one year of hire
  • NYS Limited Permit (application submitted upon hire)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$57.25-$67.95/Hourly
