Hybrid -Manager Quality and Patient Safety Improvement- Brooklyn

As a Quality and Patient Safety Improvement Manager (QPSI Manager) is a full-time person responsible for working on the development and implementation of changes to improve health care quality, patient safety, and/or the efficiency of health care delivery processes. This incorporates collaboration with clinical leadership to advance evidence-based practices in clinical care, national and hospital goals in patient safety, and other initiatives to drive highly reliable and safe patient care.

The QPSI Manager is expected to possess proficient knowledge of valid improvement methods, including but not limited to six sigma, LEAN and the Model for Improvement. The incumbent is expected to utilize the skills necessary to employ these methods to support hospital teams in improvement work and facilitate change. Additionally, methods will be used to improve safety through patient culture surveys and use of adverse event and near miss data to improve safety. This position is a Hybrid schedule with hours 9:00am-5:00pm to support Brooklyn sites.

Preferred Criteria

  • At least 3-5 years of healthcare or healthcare related experience

  • Registered Nurse

  • Experience in Quality and Patient Safety

Required Criteria 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.

  • Experience in quality improvement environment

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

Salary Range:

$125,000-$170,000/Annual
