Overview:
The Manager, Radiology IT Systems leads and mentors a team of five RIS/PACS Analysts, ensuring high performance and engagement. This role is responsible for implementing and supporting Radiology and Dental software applications, collaborating with clinical leaders to align IT solutions with business needs, and overseeing projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development:

    • Manage, mentor, and conduct performance evaluations for RIS/PACS Analysts.
    • Foster a high-performance team culture through engagement and professional development.
  • Project & System Management:

    • Lead the implementation and daily support of Radiology and Dental IT systems.
    • Collaborate with clinical leadership to assess business needs and provide IT solutions.
    • Oversee project timelines, ensuring milestones are met and reported to senior leadership.
    • Coordinate with vendors to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
    • Work cross-functionally with IT teams for system testing, implementation, and go-live support.
  • Technical & Business Operations:

    • Design, modify, and enhance system programs while assessing their impact on existing production environments.
    • Provide expert technical guidance to IT staff in developing and supporting systems.
    • Develop test plans, conduct unit/system tests, and ensure adherence to change control policies.
    • Manage departmental budgets, including expense tracking and reconciliation.
    • Ensure the stability of production systems in a 24/7 environment and uphold hospital IT policies.
  • Managerial & Strategic Oversight:

    • Participate in hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
    • Develop departmental goals aligned with hospital strategic objectives.
    • Assign, schedule, and oversee staff workload to ensure operational efficiency.
    • Participate in system reviews, providing leadership and guidance for IT solutions.

This role is an onsite role ,therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master’s degree
  • EHR or Hospital IT experience 
  • Revenue Cycle systems experience 

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Manager/ in Technical Project Management
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan, and implement projects as well as interact effectively with applications in complex problem situations
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills to effectively collaborate, build relationships and manage change

Salary Range:

$133,500-$217,500/Annual
