Manager - Environment of Care Compliance

Under the direction of the Field Director of Environment of Care, develops, implements and administers compliance programs for all aspects of the Environment of Care across the hospital. Assesses and manages all Environment of Care related programs across all NYPH campuses. Ensures that such programs comply with applicable federal, state and local regulations and governing bodies. Develops hospital wide EOC policies/procedures. Ensures that Environment of Care related documentation meet the requirements for Joint Commission and other pertinent regulatory bodies. Coordinates and communicates on a daily basis with the various departments responsible for the implementation of Environment of Care related programs, policies and procedures. Represents the department during regulatory agency reviews and surveys. Maintains current skills, knowledge and abilities related to physical environment regulatory requirements. Alerts departmental leadership to challenges and emerging issues with the regulatory changes and/or trends. Supervises the activities of the Environment of Care Specialists. Responsible for the recruitment, selection and orientation of employees in assigned areas. Provides work direction, assigns and/or schedules work, conducts on-the-job training, answers job related questions.

This is a full time position located at NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental and Occupational Health or equivalent related degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with word processing, graphic presentations, database management and spreadsheet development
  • Knowledge of State and Federal, Joint Commission, EPA, Life Safety Code and NFPA laws/regulations

Preferred Criteria

  • Master's Degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Fire Protection or related field

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$123,500-$130,000/Annual
