Position Summary
This is a full-time hybrid position located at NYP’s Midtown Manhattan Corporate Offices. The Major Gifts Officer, Corporate and Foundation Relations is a fundraising professional who is responsible for cultivating relationships with corporations and private foundations to secure financial support for NYP. Reporting directly to the Director of Corporations and Foundations, you will be an integral member of the Corporate and Foundation Relations team within the Office of Development. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across departments to strategically align funding opportunities with NYP campaign and programmatic priorities. Your primary focus will be to cultivate and secure philanthropic partnerships with businesses and institutional foundations that advance NYP’s mission and impact. This includes conducting prospect research, cultivating new relationships, writing proposals, other fundraising materials, impact reports, and stewarding current donors to enhance relationships. Recommends and oversee best practice systems and processes for the fundraising lifespan; employs analytics and data for making evidence-based decisions and analyzing effectiveness/success.

Essential Job Duties
- Conducting prospect research to identify a robust pipeline of foundation and corporate donors, building relationships with key contacts (phone, email, in-person meetings), and understanding their funding priorities.
- Creating comprehensive plans for securing funding, including identifying specific NYP projects and programs that align with donor interests.
- Maintaining regular communication with corporate partners and foundations, providing timely reporting, ensuring proper recognition, and fostering long-term relationships.
- Crafting compelling grant proposals, letters of intent, and other fundraising materials.
- Creating opportunities for corporate donors to connect with the organization's work, such as through volunteer activities, events, or tailored program visits.
- Collaborating with events team to secure sponsorships, manage sponsor benefits and create positive experiences for corporate partners.
- Overseeing the proper receiving and acknowledgement of all gifts and propose appropriate recognition to donors.
- Ensuring timely and accurate reporting to donors on the progress and impact of funded projects.
- Working with program staff, communications professionals, and other development staff to support fundraising efforts.
- Maintaining accurate records in donor databases, tracking proposals, contacts and outcomes and ensuring compliance with donor and NYP requirements.
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned by the Director.
Required Criteria
- A bachelor’s degree and at least 3-5 years of corporate and foundations fundraising experience with proven success being a frontline fundraiser, soliciting and closing gifts in a hospital, or non-profit setting preferred.
- Previous experience in grant writing, corporate sponsorships/and or foundation relations, including developing funding proposals and managing relationships with corporate and foundation donors.
- Excellent people skills, including strong written and communication skills.
- Driven to meet and exceed goals, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce a plus), strong data and analytical skills, including a strong knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office tools, and ability to learn new technologies and systems as needed .
- Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate within a fast-paced highly complex organization. emphasizing teamwork, respect, and excellence.

Salary Range:
