Laboratory Processing Supervisor - Central Lab - Days

Bring your organizational, triage and managerial talents to our tight-knit team and provide leadership and support to our Laboratory Assistant team in the Central Laboratory. Work in conjunction with the Central Laboratory Management team as you supervise the processing staff and coordinate the registration, processing and delivery of specimens to the appropriate laboratories in a timely manner. This position has direct supervisory responsibility.

As a Processing Supervisor, you will drive high quality patient care by managing the specimen processing team and through organizing and overseeing daily operations. You will provide direction to staff in order to achieve the premier specimen work flow. This is a full time position on the day shift, with hours from 8 AM - 4 PM.

Preferred Criteria

  • Supervisory experience including training of staff
  • Ability to prioritize and triage work flow within large laboratory setting
  • Lean & Six Sigma process knowledge/understanding
  • AAS Degree
  • Laboratory processing experience 

Required Criteria

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in hospital laboratory
  • Familiarity with all aspects of Specimen Processing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, additional computer skills
  • Strong communication & organizations skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$71,500-$159,000/Annual
