We are seeking a highly organized and proficient IT Project Leader to oversee the expansion of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s IT Project Management Office (PMO). The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, align business goals across the enterprise and ensure project requests are efficiently managed throughout their lifecycle.

Essential Job Duties

  • Leads strategic planning activities to expand the PMO - factoring in people, process and technology considerations
  • Organizes project teams, sets project priorities, develops project plans and risk mitigation plans, maintains scope documents, and analyzes project statistics
  • Facilitates discovery exercises to outline scope and potential impact of project endeavors
  • Establishes and maintains communication with key stakeholders, cross-functional teams, committees/work groups, vendors and management.
  • Develops presentations and documentation to reenforce project strategies and harden processes
  • Provides day-to-day assistance/support to the user community on questions related to the PMO process and framework.
  • Facilitates IT Review of project requests being triaged by the PMO

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of previous work-related experience.
  • Ability to interact with peers from different business service lines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, MS Project and Visio.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master’s Degree
  • Hospital IT Experience
  • Project Management Office Experience
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience Project Management experience with strong project management skills.
  • ITILV3 Certification

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$100,000-$167,000/Annual
