PositionSummary

An Identity Services Manager is responsible for leading a team of NYP’s architects and engineers implementing and operationally maintain large scale identity security solutions. Responsible for identity life cycle management, strong authentication, federation, directories and related services.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of IAM engineers, providing direction, coaching, and performance management to drive a high-performing and engaged team
  • Participate in defining and executing the strategic roadmap for Identity and Access Management services, aligning IAM initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with leadership and our Architects in ownership of SailPoint IdentityIQ platform and related IAM tools, overseeing their design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance to support user lifecycle management, provisioning, and access governance
  • Ensure security and compliance by enforcing IAM policies and processes that adhere to institutional standards and regulations. Prepare for and participate in audits and access certification campaigns
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including IT Security, HR, and application owners) to integrate IAM solutions with business processes and new projects, ensuring seamless and secure user access across systems
  • Serve as a IAM subject matter expert and advisor, providing technical guidance on identity architecture, resolving complex issues, and recommending best practices for identity governance and administration
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships for IAM services, including coordinating support with SailPoint and any third-party providers, and evaluate new technologies or services as needed
  • Monitor IAM service performance and user access metrics, using key performance indicators to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high availability and reliability of identity services
  • Drive innovation and automation in identity management, leading efforts to streamline provisioning workflows, role management, and access review processes to improve efficiency and user experience

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • At least 7 years of relevant IT experience, including a minimum of 3 years in IAM leadership roles managing technical teams.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with the SailPoint IdentityIQ platform (or similar IAM governance solution).
  • In-depth knowledge of IAM principles and technologies such as user provisioning, RBAC, SSO, MFA, and directory services.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience implementing IAM controls in a regulated environment (HIPAA, NIST, SOX, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SailPoint Certified Identity Professional).
  • Previous experience in a software development or IAM engineering role.
  • Experience working in healthcare, academic, or other highly regulated industries.

Salary Range:

$182,000-$263,500/Annual
