Hospital Billing Compliance Manager - Corporate Compliance
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing all ongoing activities supporting hospital billing compliance across the NYP system. You'll oversee inpatient and outpatient hospital audits to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and NYP’s documentation, coding, charging, billing procedures, and standards. In addition, oversee facility governmental audits; assess areas of hospital billing compliance risk and emerging regulations; and educate hospital billing providers, departments, and key stakeholders involved in hospital charging and billing through the NYP system regarding identified documentation, coding, charging, and billing deficiencies and changes in regulations. You'll provide leadership, collaboration and support to key stakeholders throughout NYP involved in the provision, documentation, charging, coding, and/or billing of inpatient and outpatient hospital services to maintain compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations. You will maintain expert knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 guidelines across multiple hospital specialties. This position will manage the Hospital Billing Compliance team, under the leadership of the Sr. Director, Deputy Chief Compliance Officer.
This is a full time, day shift position.
Preferred Criteria
- Bachelor’s or Master’sDegree from an accredited university or college
- Medical Coding Certification (CPC, CCS)
- Certification in Healthcare Privacy Compliance – from HCCA, AHIMA or IAAP
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
Required Criteria
- High School diploma or GED
- 10 years’ experience in healthcare compliance and Privacy
- Strong knowledge of 45 Code of Federal Regulations, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), data security standards and requirements
- Extensive report writing experience and Policy & Procedure development experience
- Superior analytical, written, & oral communication s kills with the ability to negotiate sensitive issues when needed
- Experience in a supervisory capacity and ability to direct and develop others

Salary Range:
