Financial Coordinator - Cornell Campus

Thrive in this challenging, fast-paced role, working to ensure patients have the resources to cover the expenses of organ transplantation services. Perform preliminary and comprehensive financial screenings to identify potential coverage issues. Obtain and track prior authorizations for procedures, medications, and testing. Conduct counseling sessions with patients in person and on the phone to explain medical benefits and discuss program eligibility. Communicate coverage options to those without adequate insurance and inform staff of action plans.
Preferred Criteria
Proficiency with Epic, EAGLE and Presidio software, as well as Microsoft Excel
Required Criteria
Bachelor's degree
Five years of applicable experience (includes experience with insurance benefits and patient billing practices)
Working knowledge of third-party reimbursement (contracting and non-contracting) and eligibility requirements for all subsidy programs
five years of related work experience
Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills to provide excellent customer service and make good decisions
