The Center for Special Studies in Chelsea (53 West 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010) is dedicated to providing the highest quality primary care to people living with HIV (PLWH) or at risk for HIV, as well as patients with other infectious diseases.
Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner – The Center for Special Studies in Chelsea/Weill Cornell/Ambulatory Care Network
The Nurse Practitioner will provide routine sexual health services, provide comprehensive physical examinations and testing, establish treatment plans and administer medication. You will assess patients for PEP/PrEP eligibility, initiate and monitor patients on PrEP and PEP. You will also initiate and manage ARVs for newly-diagnosed and re-engaging in care HIV-positive patients. The Nurse Practitioner will have expanded walk-in capabilities to accommodate this patient population. The Nurse Practitioner will work with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team and will attend and participate in various meetings. You’ll work with the brightest minds in healthcare to make tomorrow better for countless human beings.
Preferred:
Bilingual English /Spanish
Experience in providing care to clients with a diagnosis of HIV
Required:
Masters in Nursing degree in Advanced Practice
Board Certification in area of specialty
Current NYS FNP and RN licensure
Current BLS through AHA
Minimum of one year NP experience
Strong communication, interpersonal, and triage skills
