Cytology Technician - Evenings - Full Time

Prepare GYN/non-GYN and FNA specimens and stain them according to the type of specimen, coverslip and arrange numerically on trays; prepare reagents and other solutions used in the laboratory in accordance with established procedures. Work with TP 2000, TP 5000, Centrifuge, Cytospin, Cassette printer, Automatic Stainer, Leica Coverslipper, and Tomcat instrumentation in this fast-paced lab.  Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards as set by the hospital and laboratory. 

This is an evening shift position working 3:00 pm -11:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Location is our Weill-Cornell campus on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Preferred Criteria

• Histotechnician or Histotechnologist License
• Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Pathologist's Assistant License issued by New York State Education Department
• Epic Beaker experience

Required Criteria

• Associate degree as defined by NYS Clinical Laboratory Licensing
• Clinical Laboratory Technician’s License issued by New York Stated Education Department
