Cytology Technician - Evenings – Full Time

With patients from across the globe, we study some of the most complex and rarely seen medical conditions. Prepare GYN and non-GYN smears and stain them according to the type of specimen, coverslip and arrange numerically on trays; prepare reagents and other solutions used in the laboratory in accordance with established procedures. Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards as set by the hospital and laboratory. 

This position is full time, working the evening shift from 3pm to 11pm, Monday - Friday. No weekends, no holidays. Department is open to some flexibility with the hourly schedule.

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED
• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technician or Histological Technician license from the NYS Education Department

Preferred Criteria

• 2+ years of laboratory processing experience
• Cytology Prep experience
