Our accredited Creative Arts Therapists join forces with the Child Life Department, working alongside physicians, nurses, social workers, and clinical professionals to normalize the health care environment for young patients.

Provides developmentally and clinically appropriate Creative Arts Therapy services based on patients needs and multidisciplinary care plan for patients in designated pediatric units under the general administration of the Site Manager.

This is a full-time, Monday-Friday 9:00AM - 5:00PM day shift position.  Includes some weekend and holiday rotation

Preferred Criteria: 

• One to three years of experience 

• Previous professional experience working with children/families in a hospital setting

• Advanced knowledge of human growth and development

Required Criteria:

• Master's degree in related field

• Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) by NYS Office of Professions

• Registration as a Music Therapist – Board Certified (MT-BC) or Art Therapy Registration (ATR) or Certified Dance Therapist or Certified Drama Therapist

• Proficient in modalities pertaining to specific Creative Arts Therapy discipline

• Completion of a successful internship in specific Creative Arts Therapy discipline

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
