Cook - Amenities Unit - Part Time - Rotating Shifts - Weekends/Holidays
In this role, you will prepare food for distribution to patients, employees, and visitors in accordance with established food preparation procedures. You'll rotate between hot and cold stations as you prep, cook, and plate food while adhering to regulatory and food safety guidelines. Be responsible for a la carte restaurant style cooking to include following recipes and specifications, using correct methods of preparation and equipment for meats, vegetables, hot cereals, soups, etc. as assigned. In addition, take temperature of all cold/hot foods and monitor for quality assurance.
This is a part time position, working every other weekend/holidays, rotating day/evening shifts.
Preferred Criteria
- Graduate from a formal technical school specializing in high-volume cooking, or has equivalent culinary experience.
- Experience in the preparation of high-quality hot and cold food.
Required Criteria
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to three years of related experience (e.g., healthcare, banquet, catering services, restaurant, corporate setting).
- Ability to read, speak and follow oral and written instructions in English.
