Position Summary
The Community Connect Senior Analyst Information Technology for EpicCare Ambulatory is responsible for providing intricate tactical and operational support for the implementation of Enterprise Clinical IT systems to community provider practices in the greater New York area. This facilitates the design, implementation, optimization, change management and issue resolution related to the enterprise system and the clinical and business workflows it supports. It requires significant experience working Epic as an analyst for the EpicCare Ambulatory application, and deep technical and operational workflow knowledge as it relates to outpatient provider practices and the use of the EHR.
This position is based out of our Corporate Center at 466 Lexington Avenue. Shift will be Mondays-Fridays from 9:00am-5:00pm. There is the opportunity to work 4 days onsite and 1 day remote. There is the exception of go-live periods and other events which will require onsite presence at client sites for the full week and may require modified working hours.
Essential Job Duties
- Implement and support various applications and components, specifically the Epic EHR and connected systems, ensuring they align with business and patient care objectives.
- Gather and analyze client business requirements, identifying where standard build meets requirements and denoting where deviation is needed to address complex or unique needs.
- Design, configure and install new programs, modifications or enhancements to existing systems. Analyze modifications or enhancements to determine impact on existing production systems.
- Update and maintain project plans, provide design and installation/support documentation.
- Represent the team in user meetings and perform project management duties as needed. Work with other departments to understand their needs.
- Establish and maintain communication with the project team, Clinical IT Shared Services, clients, relevant committees/work groups, applicable governance groups, vendors and NYP leadership.
- Keep program management and client leadership apprised of project progress, milestones, barriers, and issue resolution.
- Build strong relationships with application analysts and members of the core IT teams to document, configure, and test systems effectively.
- Partner with other IT teams to co-develop solutions for new or unique requests that the program has not encountered previously.
- Develop innovative approaches for addressing client needs that are in alignment with Clinical IT goals and objectives.
- Provide day-to-day support for new and established clients across the community practices, including extracting and transmitting requested data and problem solving in a timely manner consistent with internal SLAs.
- Support the relevant departmental environment including all applications and operational interfaces.
- Perform intermediate problem analysis and troubleshooting and maintain appropriate documentation. Escalate complex issues to appropriate groups in a timely manner.
- Adhere to change management procedures per departmental standards as required.
- Develop test plans, test data and testing schedules. Conduct system tests to verify results of software solutions. Collect and manage testing-related issues and drive timely issue resolution.
- Participate in functional and integrated testing of all software upgrades, enhancements, service packs and hotfixes as assigned.
- Responsible for IS change control standards and procedures including successful release and communication of go lives.
- Research, plan, and design interfaces between a wide variety of systems to support clinical and business needs of the Community Connect clients.
- Provide business related and technical design guidance to other IS staff in the development and support of other IS systems. Provide technical assistance to other staff members. Oversee the technical design implementation, analysis, and modifications of new/existing, programs and systems to support the clinical, corporate and technical operations across all clients.
- Perform analysis of business and user needs, document requirements, and revise existing system logic as necessary.
- Train end users in use of equipment and software.
- Work in multiple phases of systems and applications analysis and consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
- Create and maintain accurate and current documentation regarding application(s) supported by the team.
- Participate in the maintenance of training materials and disseminate materials to users. Review documentation and training materials prepared by fellow analysts or system educational partners.
- Assist with go-live and support schedules as well as the coordination of field support activities and provide go-live and rollout support on new applications, modules, and functionality.
- Provide status reports and insights to departmental leadership in ad-hoc and weekly meetings.
- Monitor the EHR and its connected systems to proactively identify issues or service disruptions to escalate to relevant internal teams, and to communicate out to client sites.
- Maintain a favorable work environment for all team members and clients.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Preferred Criteria
- Degree or major in Computer Science
- Epic Resolute Professional Billing, Claims, and/or SBO Certification
- ITIL Certification
- PMP Certification
- NYS Clinical licensure (Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy, or other relevant allied health professional)
Required Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Epic Module Certification obtained within six months of employment
- 3-5 or more years of previous work related experience

Salary Range:
