Join Us in shaping the future of Spine Care: We are seeking a dynamic Clinical Triage Specialist to launch this innovative hub of excellence. In this position, the Clinical Triage Specialist is responsible for providing clinical triage to practices supported by the NYP Sphere contact center. You will work collaboratively with the clinical director of access and navigation, triage nurse managers and team, contact center Patient Financial Advisors, contact center leadership, practice(s) leadership, and practice(s) clinical and non-clinical teams.

You will provide therapeutic advice to all specified patients; conduct assessments over the phone utilizing appropriate clinical reasoning and obtain pertinent information relative to the patients’ health and situation; book appointments for patient evaluation; document patient encounters; and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

This is a full time, days position. Typical hours will be between 8:30am-4:30pm or 9:00am-5:00pm.

Required Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Valid New York State Nursing License
  • Effective in a fast-paced environment and demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information according to internal policies
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines, prioritize work and be able to work independently
  • Ability to work with technology as necessary to complete the job effectively

Preferred Criteria:

  • Previous healthcare operations experience
  • Familiarity with the Epic electronic health records system 
  • Previous clinical experience in orthopedic surgery/neurosurgery or rehabilitation medicine

Salary Range:

$121,000-$156,000/Annual
