Conduct routine and complex tests on clinical specimens in various areas of the laboratory at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/The Allen Hospital, including bloodbank, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry and microbiology. Performs quality control procedures for all tests as dictated by policy and documents all results; follows-up on out of range results.

This position working 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, plus alternate weekends and rotating holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• ASCP certification
  
  

Required Criteria

• Minimum of two years experience as a Laboratory Technologist in Blood Bank, Chemistry and Hematology

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related health science field is required

• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education Department
