Principal Responsibilities:

•  Responsible for performing key accounting, financial reporting and budgeting functions that help maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of our hospital. 

•  Work in a team environment with members of the accounting and finance department to learn hospital operating activities, monthly close processes and other accounting and financial reporting methodologies. 

•  Prepare journal entries

•  Analyze various general ledger accounts and related reconciliations, track expenses, and assist on the monthly financial statement close.

•  Assist with internal and external audits

•  Work on other ad-hoc special projects related to hospital accounting and financial reporting based on the needs of the hospital and the everchanging landscape of healthcare

Key Criteria:

•  Candidates must have a minimum of one to two years of previous accounting experience, or, if no prior accounting experience, candidates must have recently obtained an accounting degree and demonstrate knowledge of general accounting principles

•  Advanced Excel skills are required.

•  CPA is preferred

•  Experience working with Lawson is a plus.

•  Genuine interest and/or previous experience in finance and healthcare 

•  Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills

•   Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask

•   Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

•   Highly inquisitive, focused and proactive

Required Criteria:

•  Bachelor's Degree and six months to two years experience

•  Degree or major in Accounting

$63,000-$81,000/Annual
