Clinical Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager - RN – Cardiac ICU - Full Time - Evenings

Join us, and manage the delivery of high-quality care to patients in this Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. You will collaborate with the transformational leadership of the entire cardiac service line and work closely with the unit’s Patient Care Director to establish short- and long-term goals for the unit, help mentor new staff, communicate with all levels of leadership, and facilitate efficient, cost-effective unit operations.
The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit – 4 South - at New York- Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center is a 20-bed intensive care unit recognized for clinical excellence with a consistent and systematic approach to evidence-based care and healthy work culture that optimizes outcomes. The AACN awarded 4 South with the Silver Level Beacon Award in 2024. This unit primarily delivers acute care to patients suffering from a range of cardiac pathologies including but not limited to post cardiac arrest, advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, life threatening dysrhythmias, acute coronary syndrome (including STEMIs), congenital heart defects, valvulopathies requiring procedural interventions to repair or replace aortic, mitral and tricuspid values, pre-heart transplant care, and care for patients with a history of a heart transplant presenting with complications and/or organ rejection. Patients cared for on 4 South may be dependent on mechanical support devices such as Impella, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and ventilators and present with various comorbidities and conditions that include but are not limited to stroke, kidney failure, metastatic cancer, respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, COVID, sepsis, and gastrointestinal bleeds.

This is a full time, 4-day/week 10 hour shift position, working evening or night shift .
Preferred Criteria
- Master’s Degree in Nursing
Required Criteria
- At least two years of acute care RN experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
- BCLS and ACLS certification thru AHA

Salary Range:
