In your role as a Specimen Processor, you will participate in the specimen life cycle throughout the clinical laboratory including receiving & send-outs, spinning & aliquoting, plus distribution and storage of samples. Additionally, you will verify phlebotomy and tests plus add-ons, maintain/validate equipment, order supplies/manage inventory while supporting the lab team as needed including training new staff. Answer calls and communicate accordingly with all levels of hospital leadership in this highly visible position.

This is a full time day position including every other weekend. Location is our NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital campus in Cortlandt Manor, Upper Westchester County, N.Y.

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED
• Familiarity with medical terminology and computer information systems essential

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
