Patient Registrar - Hudson Valley Medical Group - Multi Specialty - Full Time Days
Make a lasting impression on patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley as a Patient Registrar. Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you will obtain demographic details and insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. You will record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients. Most importantly, you will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience.
This is a Full time Monday-Friday 40- hour work week. Must be flexible 7:00am-7:00pm with potential overtime. Must be able to work at the following office:
1985 Crompond Rd. Cortlandt Manor, NY
Must be willing to provide coverage across various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations as needed.
Preferred Criteria
Knowledge of medical procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology.
Experience working in a busy healthcare environment preferably Internal Medicine, Neurology, Rheumatology, Endocrinology and/or Nephrology
Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4, health insurance benefits/requirements.
EPIC or another EMR
Required Criteria
1+ year of clerical experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent GED
Effective communication skills verbal and written.
Superior Customer Service skills.
Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.
Must be detailed oriented, able to problem solve and work independently.
Ability to multi-task and perform various registration duties efficiently.
