Mammography Tech I - Radiology –  Cold Spring

The Mammography Tech I shall be responsible for performing mammography imaging and related procedures as prescribed by physicians under the direction of a radiologist with little supervision.

This role requires proficiency in both general X-ray and mammography imaging. The position is full time, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, hours ranging from 7a-3p and 8a-4p, and is based at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, located at 1756 NY‑9D, Cold Spring, NY 10516.

Required Criteria

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) in mammography required.

• Licensure by New York State Department of Health.

• Knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures usually obtained by being a graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) accredited educational program or equivalent.

• Analytical skills in order to evaluate and perform mammography procedures.

• Organizational skills necessary in order to plan and implement several procedures simultaneously and to coordinate work within the unit and department.
