The Echocardiogram Sonographer shall be responsible for completing reports of echocardiogram examinations, including complete measurements and preliminary interpretations. Completing echocardiograms for outpatients and inpatients. The techs also support cases done in the Cath Labs for pre and post procedural imaging. They are also responsible for maintaining all Echo related equipment and assisting in gathering departmental quality metrics.
Echo Tech – Full Time- Radiology – Flex
This is a full-time, day shift flex position that includes participation in a weekend on-call rotation. Travel will be required to two locations at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital located at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, upper Westchester County, N.Y and 1111 Westchester Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605 Westchester County, NY. Schedule at NYP-Hudson Valley Hospital will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with scheduled hours of 9:00AM-5:00PM. Schedule at NYP-The One 1111 Westchester Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605 will be Wednesday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM.
Preferred Criteria
- Prior experience in an inpatient setting
- At least 1 year of experience
Required Criteria
- Cardiovascular Ultrasound Program Graduate
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of hire (Registry Eligible at hire)
- BLS certification
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with patients, patient family members, physicians, and other health care providers.
- Analytical skills necessary to evaluate and perform diagnostic exams.
- Organizational skills necessary to plan and implement several procedures simultaneously and to coordinate work within the unit and department.
- Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
