Technician Medical Surgical- Park Slope Midwives- Brooklyn Medical Group

Certified Medical Assistant performs a variety of clinical and clerical functions, in accordance with established policies and procedures, to assist the practitioners and management in daily office operations. This is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility. As a Certified Medical Assistant in our Primary Care and Multi-Specialty practice you will:
Prep and assist in the exam room
Triage Patients
Collects urine and draw blood samples
Take and record height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse of patients
This is a 37.5hr weekly schedule; Full-Time position with varied hours of (10am-6:00pm as well as 9:00am to 5:00pm) Must be flexible with hours; overtime as needed. Location is 1224 8th Avenue Brooklyn NY 11215 and other midwives locations. May be required to cover for other practice locations within Brooklyn.
Preferred Criteria
Medical Assistant experience within a OBGYN healthcare setting.
Strong Phlebotomy experience preferred
Bilingual- English and Spanish speaking
Required Criteria
High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
A minimum of one-year medical assistant experience or internship in a physician practice
National Medical Assistant Certification
Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCCT
