Certified Medical Assistant performs a variety of clinical and clerical functions, in accordance with established policies and procedures, to assist the practitioners and management in daily office operations. This is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility. As a Certified Medical Assistant in our Primary Care and Multi-Specialty practice you will:

  • Prep and assist in the exam room
  • Triage Patients
  • Collects urine and draw blood samples
  • Take and record height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse of patients

This is a Full-Time position Monday-Friday- 8:00AM-6:00PM Must be flexible (early and late hours) to work on Saturdays (once a month); overtime as needed. Located at 50 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY. May be required to cover for other practice locations within Brooklyn.

Preferred Criteria

  • Medical Assistant experience within a primary care and Multi-specialty healthcare setting.
  • Strong Phlebotomy experience preferred 

Required Criteria

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
  • A minimum of one-year medical assistant experience or internship in a physician practice
  • National Medical Assistant Certification
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCCT

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$26.71-$33.60/Hourly
