As a Senior Patient Registrar, you will register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you’ll obtain demographic details, insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. You’ll record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients obtaining services. You will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience. This is a Full- time 37.5hr per week position with varied hours of 8:00AM to 8:30PM with a Monday through Friday and alternate Saturdays schedule. This position is located in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. Must be flexible to work and float to other locations if needed at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Medical Group.

Preferred Criteria:

• Completed some college coursework and are familiar with health insurance requirements.

• Experience working in a busy medical practice.

• Epic experience

Required Criteria:

• Qualified candidates have at least one year of clerical experience.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
