Program Assistant Asian Health - Asian Health Institute - Day Shift Including Weekends and Holidays On An As Needed Basis

Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director, the Program Assistant Asian Health performs administrative duties, provides interpreter services onsite and offsite during events. Assists in coordinating and planning educational and outreach events. Assist patients, families, and staff with problems and concerns.

This is a full-time day shift position Monday-Friday including weekends/holidays on an as needed basis, located at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria:

• Certificate of Completion in an interpreter Training Program.
  1 year of healthcare experience preferably in a hospital setting.

Required Criteria:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience

• Verbal and written fluency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)

• Computer literate
  Demonstrated customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
