Physical Therapist - Per Diem - Outpatient Therapy

At NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, our Physical Therapists use advanced technology and best-practice techniques to restore and maximize patient mobility. We provide one-on-one therapies that are tailored to meet the individual needs of our patients.  Our work continues to help patients reach their full potential. Join our inter-disciplinary team and provide high-quality rehabilitation for our patients throughout the continuum of care including acute care, acute inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation.

This is a per-diem position in the outpatient therapy for an experienced orthopedic PT. The PT will also be trained to cross-cover in the acute care setting should unexpected patient cancellations occur during a shift. Candidate must be able to commit to 2 days/wk coverage most weeks, which includes a regular Monday commitment. This position is located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

• Master’s degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy 
• American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) membership
• Certification in Maitland and/or McKenzie treatment approach or relevant coursework

Required Criteria

• At least 5 years of experience practicing in the outpatient orthopedic therapy setting
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy 
• New York State Physical Therapist License within one year of hire
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
