Perioperative Patient Care Assistant – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) – Evenings (3PM-11PM)

This role will provide and maintain a safe, neat, and clean patient environment. Ensures the maintenance of supplies, equipment, and patient care in accordance with established procedure. Participates in patient care activities as a member of the nursing team and under the supervision of a registered nurse. Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Division of Nursing and of the hospital.

This is a full time, evening position working 3PM-11PM, located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital

Required Criteria

• A High School Graduate or equivalent

• One year experience as a Nursing Assistant, Surgical Support Attendant, Building Services or equivalent experience

• Computer literacy

• Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
