Interventional Radiology Per-Diem Physician Assistant (PA)

As a Per-Diem Interventional Radiology PA, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional care across the full procedural continuum—before, during, and after interventions. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of radiologists, nurses, and technologists in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with a wide range of IR procedures including angiograms, biopsies, drain placements, and vascular access
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure safe, coordinated patient care
  • Perform pre- and post-procedure assessments and manage patient care plans
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, risks, and post-procedure care
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
  • Adhere to sterile technique and safety protocols at all times
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advancements in interventional radiology

Schedule: Monday–Friday day shifts only (no nights, weekends, or holidays)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Interventional Radiology experience

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current NYS PA licensure
  • NCCPA certification
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • NYS Infection Control certification
  • DEA registration with NYS opioid prescriber compliance

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
