    The Patient Care Director will oversee level three, Premature Nursery unit with up to 32 beds. The Patient Care Director assumes first line leadership responsibility and accountability for managing the delivery of patient care on an assigned unit. Facilitates efficient and cost effective daily operations of the unit(s) in relation to patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers. Promotes a culture of safety and quality by ensuring continuity and consistency in the implementation of established standards, protocols, policies and procedures. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, participates in the establishment of unit(s) short and long term goals and ensures its alignment with the hospital’s overall strategic goals. Accountable for monitoring staff compliance with regulatory, hospital and divisional requirements. Now, you have the opportunity to join us.

    This is a full time day shift position located at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

    Preferred Criteria

    • Leadership experience

    • American Nurses Credentialing Center approved national board Certification

    Required Criteria

    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing in related field (If currently pursuing a Master’s Degree, must be completed within 1 year of hire)

    • Current New York State RN license

    • At least 3 years of acute care RN experience

    • Demonstrated leadership competencies

    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program from the American Academy of Pediatrics

    • BLS certification from America Heart Association

    Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

    NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

    Salary Range:

    $150,000-$185,000/Annual
