Nursing Assistant – Full Time & Part Time - Float Pool

Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care

• Float to all units-in the hospital such as - Med-Surg- Critical Care-Psychiatry- Emergency Department or where needed.

We have Full Time and Part Time Nursing Assistant positions available at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist located in Brooklyn, NY. Three weekend is required for the first 2 years of employment (every Saturday & Sunday).

We currently have the following shifts available:

Day Shift - 7:30AM-4:00PM

Evening Shift - 3:30PM - 12:00AM

Night Shift - 11:45PM - 7:45AM

Preferred Criteria

• Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience as a nurse’s aide in a hospital

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED

• Certification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program or current

• Enrollment in a BSN program & completion of at least 1 clinical rotation

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Basic computer skills
