Nursing Assistant - Float Pool - Full-time - Evenings

Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse’s aide at NYP-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly.

Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care

• Float to all units-in the hospital such as - Med-Surg- Critical Care-Psychiatry- Emergency Department or where needed.

This a full-time evening position (3:30PM-Midnight) New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, weekends and holidays required.

Preferred Criteria

• Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience as a nurse’s aide in a hospital

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED

• Certification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program or current

• Enrollment in a BSN program & completion of at least 1 clinical rotation

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Basic computer skill
